語文集錄 is a mini story book with six classic Chinese fables.
This publication was a bit challenging for me, as I cannot read Chinese characters. With the help of my teachers and Google translate, I was able to source the main message of each story and create illustrations to reflect that. As the stories were written from a long time ago, I aimed to illustrate the stories in a more modern way.
The book is in A5 bound with Omega Saddle Stitch and reads in traditional Chinese style of right to left. Packaging uses header card and tracing paper bag to resemble retro-toy packaging and is environmentally friendly as it does not use plastic. This book was later turned into an e-publication with simple movements using inDesign.

Optima is a typeface created by Hermann Zapf in 1958. Zaph was a prolific typeface designer, creating over 200 typefaces in his lifetime. This bilingual type specimen studies his under-rated typeface Optima and follows a brief history on the designer, the development, criticism, attributes and usage.
This book is hand bound in a perfect bind.
