Pokémon Series

Growing up, Pokémon played a huge role in my childhood. It was the cartoon me and my brother would watch on weekends, the video games I would play with my cousins, and the stuffed animals I had in my room.

This series includes a variety of 3D works which include the Game Boy color, Pokémon Yellow, and also the Kanto Pokédex (All of these projects are self-drafted and mounted onto cardstock and felt for sturdy and lasting support. These projects are made to scale based on the original game or real life product.

Game Boy Color:  It includes a pocket with interchangeable screens. For my project I have created a Pokémon battle screen from the game.

The Pokémon Yellow cartridge is a game released in 1997. It garnered worldwide popularity as it is the first special edition game where Pikachu can follow your player around, similar to in the hit TV series, Pokémon: Indigo League. I had spent hours playing this game in my childhood and early teenage years, so it was fitting to create this specific game.

The Pokédex is an acronym for Pokémon Index. In the TV series, it is a small device used to catalog and provide information about all Pokémon. Each generation and each series of the Pokémon show provide different styles of the Pokédex. This design is featured in the first original 1997 season of Pokemon, Pokemon: Indigo League.

The design features a pocket to create an interchangeable "display screen". The display screen features watercolor paintings of a variety of Pokémon.

This project was also edited into two short videos which you can see on my Behance page.
