Cheongsam

The sewing technique of the traditional cheongsam dress is one of Hong Kong's Intangible Cultural Heritage traditions aimed to be protected. The cheongsam, which is the traditional dress of Hong Kong and mainland China came into fashion during the 1920s and continued to exist in popularity until the 1970s.

I created a gift set highlighting the cheongsam history and technique as a projet to highlight Intangible Cultural Heritage traditions. Gift set includes a bilingual booklet, a 2023 monthly calendar as well as three notebook set (blank, lined and grid).

Booklet is fabric bound in a dos-á-dos binding. Calendar is also fabric bound backing in a pamphlet stitch. Notebooks have gold foil cover and are saddle stitch bound.
Paper used is 210 gsm grain textured paper.
Notebook cover is 280 gsm cold pressed paper.
